Anoka’s Waste Reduction & Recycling Board’s (WRRB) aluminum can collection trailer is now being used as a fundraiser for the City’s Waterfowl for Warriors (WFW) program, which provides hunts for local veterans and active military members each fall.
Collect and bring your aluminum cans and deposit them in the recycling collection container (no bags, please and do not crush cans) now located in the parking lot just to the east of Gray Ghost Fields off Castle Field Boulevard, and immediately west of the Anoka Ice Arena.
All proceeds received from the recycling of the aluminum cans supports the WFW program. The weight produced by the continuous collection will be applied toward the City’s annual recycling goal of approximately 1800 tons. Thank you for your support of this wonderful program. It’s a win-win!
