Summer starts tomorrow, so let's "spring" into it! Join Anoka for our Spring into Summer event on the first day of summer! Bring a blanket or chair and your dancing shoes! Enjoy music from Good for Gary, grab a bite to eat at one of the food trucks, jump in the pumpkin bounce house, be creative with chalk art and kindness rock painting, pick up some fresh produce and cottage foods from our new Farmers Market on the Rum, enjoy Little Blue's Traveling Zoo, free face painting, free henna tattoos,  and more!  The Anoka Lions Club will be selling beer and Killebrew Root Beer!  Our sponsors will be handing out giant freezies for the kiddos (and adults) to stay hydrated!  Check out our long list of sponsors (we appreciate you)!

It's Growing!  Anoka is planning a brand new farmers market with a plentiful season of produce,  a great selection of cottage foods, farmstead products, and more.  Selection will grow as the season grows! Join us for some rockin' on the rum!  These concerts feature a variety of family-friendly music by popular metro area and regional performers. Some concert dates will include food trucks or concessions.  Bring your lawn chair, pack a picnic or grab a meal to go from one of the restaurants in the downtown area.  The Rum River provides a fantastic backdrop - boat docks located above and below the dam provide a great option for people that like to visit Anoka via the river!  View the list of concerts and our amazing  list of sponsors at Rockin' on the Rum!

Anoka Classic Car Show

Most Saturdays | 4-8PM
Downtown Anoka | 4th Ave & Van Buren St

Cool classic cars and trucks will be cruising into downtown Anoka most Saturdays from 4-8 p.m. for the Anoka Classic Car Show (4th & VanBuren). Show cars & trucks year 1992 or older, $4 per classic vehicle. No entrance fee for spectators. Food vendors on site and music by Tunes to Go! Special thanks to Ace SolidWaste, Mauer Main Chevrolet, North Star Towing Inc. and Two Scoops!  BIG Thank you to organizers for making this event happen!  There are 12 event dates planned including the finale on Sept. 16th (all weather permitting).  Visit their website for complete details and all updates on event dates.

It's back! Join Anoka for its 25th Annual Fireworks Display as we celebrate Independence Day. Fireworks will light up the night sky beginning at 10 p.m.

Seeking Donations

This celebration would not be possible without the generous support and donations from our local businesses, organizations, municipal partners, community leaders, and individuals.  Our goal is to raise $12,000 to help pay for the fireworks display.  We recognize that the past few years have been difficult for all and sincerely appreciate any contribution.  Sponsors will be acknowledged through multiple city communications.  Check out our list of current sponsors!

Spend your Saturday, shopping over 150 booths of unique, 100% hand-crafted products.  Browse the food court for a tasty bite and some ice cold beverages to stay hydrated!  Plus, there will be games and fun for the whole family.  Admission and parking are FREE!  Spend a day in historic downtown Anoka along the Rum River.

Anoka Vintage Fest takes over City Hall River Plaza on Saturday August 12th for its first event of the year.  In the heart of Anoka's Entertainment District, Anoka Vintage Fest will feature 50 vintage and antique vendors with the best vintage treasures to be found. It's going to be an exciting day for everyone to enjoy in downtown Anoka!

Fifty food trucks will be driving into downtown Anoka to take over the City Hall River Plaza area with endless choices of delicious foods and beverages, plus live music, games, and more.  This is a great family-friendly event!
