Snowplowing Update - Feb. 8, 2025

Snow Event No. 4 - Anoka received approximately 4" of light snow overnight and snow is continuing to fall  this morning.
The Public Services Department commenced full plow operations at 5:30am to respond to this snow event.  Sidewalk machines have been dispatched to broom the CBD area. Residential sidewalks, cul-de-sacs and parking lots will also be plowed this morning.
If snow continues to fall into the afternoon hours, the crew will be brought back in on Sunday at 3am to complete a final clean-up of the city.
Drive and walk safely!  Thank you for your patience.

A Few Reminders

  • Please keep garbage & recycling carts behind the curb — avoid blocking the road for snowplows.
  • Remove personal property from the right-of-way — basketball hoops, hockey nets, and other items should be cleared to give plows enough space and to protect your personal items from damage.
  • Clear snow around your mailbox — ensure your mail carrier can deliver without any interruptions.
  • If on your property, please provide a 4 ft clearing around fire hydrants — this allows emergency responders quick access in case of need.
  • Do NOT allow kids to build snow forts at the end of driveways — these not only create obstacles for snowplows, but can also be dangerous for children playing in them.
Your cooperation helps keep our community safe during winter weather. Thanks for your support!
