Snowplowing Update for December 28, 2025
Snow Event No. 4 - It may look like a winter wonderland…but driving conditions are difficult. There is a winter storm warning in effect with up to 10 inches of snow predicted. Please stay home and stay safe.
A partial crew will be in working for a few hours this afternoon to plow the primary roads.
Full plow operations will begin at 3 a.m. Monday, Dec. 29. This will include all streets, cul-de-sacs, public parking lots, and sidewalks in the downtown. A full plow operation takes several hours to complete and some areas require multiple passes to be fully cleared from curb-to-curb. Please be patient as this process may take longer than normal if we receive the forecasted totals.
Residential sidewalks will also be cleared but it may take up to 48 hours for crews to get through all the neighborhoods.
Thank you for your patience as our crews complete the plowing process!
Reminders...please help us help you. As our crews work to keep your streets clear and safe this winter, here are a few important reminders to ensure smooth snow plowing and safety for all, PLEASE:
- Keep garbage & recycling carts behind the curb - avoid blocking the road for snowplows.
- Remove personal property from the right-of-way; basketball hoops, hockey nets, and other items should be cleared to give plows enough space and to protect your personal items from damage.
- Clear snow around your mailbox - ensure your mail carrier can deliver your mail without interruptions.
- If on your property, please provide a 4 ft clearing around fire hydrants - this allows emergency responders quick access in case of need.
- Do not allow kids to build snow forts at the end of driveways - these not only create obstacles for snowplows, but can also be dangerous for children playing inside/around them.
- No parking on city streets from 2 a.m. - 6 a.m.
Your cooperation helps keep our community safe during winter weather. Thank you for your support! Please stay safe.
