The Economic Development Commission (EDC) is a 9 member commission, with 3-year terms.
Duties
The Anoka Economic Development Commission advises the City Council on matters affecting the City’s economy and is responsible for preparation and execution of the city-wide Economic Development Plan. The Plan focuses upon building the community economy by balancing development, expanding the tax base, enhancing employment opportunities and growing community income.
The EDC strives to accomplish these goals by retaining and expanding existing businesses, promoting entrepreneurial and workforce development, packaging development projects and marketing the City as a business and tourism destination.
