Recycling Fundraiser - Waterfowl for Warriors

Support Waterfowl for Warriors through Recycling 

Anoka's Waste Reduction & Recycling Board's (WRRB) has two aluminum can collection trailers to assist in raising funds for the Anoka Waterfowl for Warriors (WFW) program.  The WFW program provides hunts for veterans and active military service members each fall. Profits from the recycling of the cans helps to provide lunches following the hunts.  

We encourage you to bring your aluminum cans and deposit them in either recycling collection container (no bags, please - do not crush cans) located:  

  • East of Gray Ghost Fields just off 600 Castle Field Boulevard, immediately west of the Anoka Ice Arena (small parking lot).     
  • Better Values Liquors East Store - 847 East River Road, Anoka (near the fence to the west of the store).

 All proceeds received from the recycling of the aluminum cans support the WFW program.  The weight produced by the continuous collection will be applied toward the City’s annual recycling goal of approximately 1,771 tons.
