Adopt-A-Park

This volunteer program encourages partnerships between citizen groups and individuals and the City of Anoka Public Services to help maintain, enhance, and beautify neighborhood parks, green spaces, trails, and athletic fields in our community. Our goal is to create a strong sense of community through our park system. Taking ownership of a city park shows a sense of pride in our city. Adopting a park requires an ongoing commitment of several activities per year for a minimum of a two-year period.

Groups are welcome to perform beautification or service projects with prior approval, such as planting flowers/ trees/shrubs, wood chipping planting beds, painting picnic tables/benches, etc.

Sponsor-A-Park

Opportunity for businesses, individuals, or organizations to provide ongoing financial support, labor, and/or real property support for development and maintenance of a park or park facility as a one-time, annual or semi-annual contribution.

Pick-A-Park

For an individual or group wishing to provide a one-time limited service project to the community by picking up trash in one of the city parks. No annual commitment required.

Special Projects

For an individual or group interested in coordinating with city staff to complete a one-time park improvement community service project in one of the parks, such as an Eagle Scout project, community service requirements for school, or a sport team.
